Acne & acne scar treatment in Paschim Vihar
Personalised treatment for teen and adult acne, from dermatologists who have treated acne in West Delhi since 1986. Our first goal is to stop scars before they form.
Our first aim: prevent scars
Acne usually arrives at an important time of life, when people are choosing careers and making new friends. Left untreated, it can leave permanent scars and dark marks as well as emotional distress. That is why treatment starts early and focuses on preventing scars.
How we treat acne
- Examination and counsellingWe look at the type and severity of your acne, explain what causes it, and adjust your skin-care routine.
- Topical treatmentCreams and gels are the mainstay of treatment for most acne.
- Oral medicines when neededAntibiotics, antioxidants and vitamin supplements, isotretinoin, or hormonal treatment are added if your acne needs them.
- In-clinic proceduresChemical peels with glycolic or salicylic acid, microdermabrasion with anti-acne face packs, IPL and LED light therapy help control active acne.
- Scar treatmentOnce acne is under control, remaining scars can be treated with a few sessions of fractional laser, microneedling and PRP.
Adult acne is different
Acne that starts or continues in your 20s, 30s or 40s often has different causes: stress, hormones, the wrong skin-care routine or cosmetics. It needs a different plan, often with more intensive procedures and, when needed, a hormonal check-up with a gynaecologist or endocrinologist.

Common questions
When should I see a dermatologist for acne?
As early as possible, especially if acne is leaving marks or scars, keeps coming back, or started in adulthood. Early treatment is the best way to prevent permanent scars.
Can acne scars be treated?
Yes. Once active acne is controlled, scars can be improved with fractional laser, microneedling and PRP. Your doctor will advise how many sessions you are likely to need.
Is adult acne treated the same way as teenage acne?
Not always. Adult acne often has hormonal, stress or cosmetic triggers, so treatment may include different medicines, procedures and sometimes a hormonal check-up.
Do I need oral medicines for acne?
Not everyone. Many people do well with topical treatment. Oral medicines are added only when acne is more severe or not responding.
This page is general information. Your doctor will recommend treatment only after examining your skin. The number of sessions and results vary from person to person.
Not sure what you need?
Book a consultation. The doctor will examine your skin and explain your options before anything is done.
